Obituary of Mary Adelene Hanks

Mary Adelene Hanks, 93, of Woodville passed away on March 31, 2016. She was born to Benjamin Franklin Walles and Mary Adelene “Addie” Simmons Walles on June 8, 1922 in the Oilla Community of Orange, TX. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Mary was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Trave Walles, Claude Walles, and Woodrow Walles; sisters Gladys Davis, Lula Peveto, Ruby Lee Waldrep, Hazel Honeycutt, Wilery Granger, and Rose Hancock; husband Stephen Wyatt Hanks, Sr.; infant son Donald K. Hanks; and son Stephen Wyatt Hanks, Jr. Left to cherish her memories are her sister Rena Walles Waldrep; son Darwin R. Hanks; daughter Margaret Rose McMillen and her husband John Andrew McMillen; daughter in law Ella Richmond and her husband Jerry; granddaughter Tammy Easley; grandson Stephen Christopher Hanks; great grandsons Justin Stark and James Cole Easley; great granddaughters Taylor Easley, Alexia Hanks, and Virginia Hanks; great-great grandsons Aiden Stark and Austin Stark; and many other family members and friends. Services are scheduled for 2:00 pm on Sunday, April 3, 2016 at Riley Funeral Home Chapel in Woodville, TX with visitation one hour before the service. Brother Hughes and Brother Randy Herrington will officiate. Mary will be buried at Ebenezer Cemetery in Colmesneil. Services are under the direction of Riley Funeral Home, Woodville.
