Obituary of Gloria Jean Milner
Gloria Jean Milner was born on December 23, 1985 in Jasper, Texas to Ricky and Laurie Ann (Mitcham) Milner, Sr. She went home to be with her Lord on March 26, 2016 at the young age of 30. She died in John Sealy Hospital, Galveston, Texas after a brief but courageous battle with a rare form of cancer.
Gloria grew up in Colmesneil, TX and graduated high school in Woodville, TX. Gloria loved Jesus, her family, anyone's babies, and animals. She had a beautiful smile and a heart the size of Texas. She was saved and baptized at a young age, largely due to the loving influence of her Mammaw Katie. Gloria was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Bill and Katie Milner. She is survived by her mother Laurie Ann (Milner) Broom and friend, Bill Barker, her stepfather, Elden Broom, her Dad and stepmother, Ricky and Kim Milner, Sr., her brother and sister-in-law, Ricky and Kay Milner, Jr., stepbrothers: Joshua Broom, Jessie Broom, Job Broom, and Jason Broom, several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and a host of friends. She is also survived by her maternal grandparents, Tiny and Debby Mitcham. Gloria was a very loving and special person and will be deeply missed by all.
A Memorial to celebrate her life will be held Friday, April 1, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. at Riley Funeral Home, Woodville, Texas. A monetary donation may be made to the Riley Funeral Home to help with funeral expense in lieu of flowers.
