Obituary of Cynthia Lynn Johnson

Cindy Johnson, 61, of Colmesneil passed away peacefully on February 28, 2016. Born December 1, 1954 in Beaumont, Texas to T. C. and Lois Hardy Gray, she lived in the Mid County area before moving to Colmesneil fifteen years ago. She was a teacher’s aide for Colmesneil I.S.D. Cindy enjoyed deep sea fishing and tending to the many animals that she shared with her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all who knew and loved her. Cindy is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Charles Johnson; daughter and son-in-law, Christina and Walter Oatman of Nederland; granddaughter, Ashley Johnson of Nederland; grandsons, Brian Palermo of Orange and Christopher Oatman of Nederland; aunt, Opal Gray of Vidor; and many other family members and friends. A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, March 5, 2016, from 10 am until 11 am at Riley Funeral Home.
