Obituary of Eveline S. Brunson

Eveline S. Brunson, 88, of Woodville passed away February 23, 2016. She was born November 15, 1927 in Paris, Texas to Linus and Rosa Scott. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Eveline was a correctional officer for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice at the Gib Lewis Unit in Woodville. There she was affectionately known as "Bulldog". Eveline was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Willie Von Brunson; son Willie Lavon Brunson; daughter Ronda Ann Brunson; and sister Helen Smith. Left to cherish her memories are her daughter Rosa Lynne Brunson Garcia and husband Marcelo; granddaughter Rachel Lynne Woodrume; grandson William Scott Sharpe; as well as many, many friends and co-workers. Visitation will be held at Riley Funeral Home on Sunday, February 28, 2016 from 4-7 pm. Funeral services will be conducted by Brother Collin Bullard and Brother Clark Mahoney at 10 am on Monday, February 29, 2016 at Riley Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will take place at Center Grove Cemetery in Livingston. Serving as pallbearers are William Sharpe, Marcelo Garcia, Adam Gallardo, Eric Lee, Major Shane Lember, and Captain Bobby Griffin. Honorary Pallbearers are all correctional officers from Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Gib Lewis Unit. Special recognition goes to the Texas Department of Criminal Justice Honor Guard.
