Obituary of Mary Beth Adams

Mary Beth Adams, 64, of Chester passed away February 21, 2016 at her home peacefully. Born September 4, 1951 in Woodville, Texas to Brigham “Chester” and Mary Barnes Bigby, she graduated from Chester High School in 1969. That same year, she married the love of her life, Charles “Bubba” Adams. She attended Angelina College graduating in 1975 as a registered nurse. She became Director of Nurses for the Tyler County Hospital from the late 1970’s until 1990. In 1995, she partnered and formed East Texas Home Health, Inc which currently serves 28 Texas counties. Mary Beth will be missed by all who loved and knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Angela Autum Adams and family, Pamela Bigby and Josh Bigby. Mary Beth leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband of 45 years, Charles “Bubba” Adams; daughter, Krista Jernigan Foxworth and husband, Billy; son, Robert Chess Adams and wife, Kourtney; brother, Brigham Bigby, Jr, and wife, Rhonda; grandchildren, Morgan Jernigan, Emily Jernigan, Katy Foxworth, Noe Foxworth, Chesney Adams and Addison Adams; nieces and nephews, Brigham E. Bigby, III (Kristen), Elizabeth Cherry (Justin) and John Harrison Bigby (Alexa); extended family, Diane Pendley, Donna Crookes, Yolanda Wyatt, Debra Leath and Vicki Wyatt; and many other family members and friends. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, February 24, 2016, at 11 am at the Caney Creek Church in Chester, Texas with Brother Mark Martin and Brother Larry Trest officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Chester, Texas. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 5 pm until 8 pm at Riley Funeral Home in Woodville, Tx. Serving as pallbearers were Mike Hughes, Chess Adams, Brigham Bigby, Ross Toler, Billy Foxworth and Bubba Adams. Serving as honorary pallbearers were John Harrison Bigby and Noe Foxworth.
