Obituary of Billy Max Nowlin

Billy Max Nowlin, 86, of Silsbee passed away February 10, 2016. He was born on November 26, 1929 in Colmesneil to Jason Aubrey and Ora Nell Stewart Nowlin. Billy spent his career in law enforcement and security. He served as Sheriff of Tyler County and retired as Chief of Security at Temple Inland. He will be missed by all who loved him. Billy was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of forty-eight years Betty Nowlin; and grandson Chuck Sheffield. Left to cherish his memory are his daughters: Lu Nowlin Jones and husband Rick of Huntsville; Terry Nowlin of Bridge City; Michelle Cowart of Beaumont; Bonnie Gay Nowlin of Silsbee; sister Nelva Jo Davis of Livingston; and brother Travis Glenn Nowlin and wife Joan of Wichita Falls. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 am Saturday, February 13, 2016 at Riley Funeral Home in Woodville with visitation one hour before services begin. Burial will follow at Bethany Cemetery in Colmesneil.
