Obituary of Naomi Macbeth Howell
Naomi Parks Howell an 86 year old remarkable woman passed away January 29, 2014 in Lufkin, Texas after an extended illness. She was a lifetime resident of Chester Texas where she attended Caney Creek Baptist Church.
She loved being a homemaker and creating beautiful things for her home as well as an enviable yard of flowers. Her biggest joy was her family. She provided a wonderful example of a Godly woman, wife, mother and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by the love of her life her husband of 64 years, J. L. Howell; mother and father, Tom and Ruth Parks; brother, Rudolph Parks and a son, Billy L. Howell (at birth).
She leaves behind, James “Shorty” Howell and wife, Connie, David Howell, Sr. and wife, Linda, Bobbie Sue Girardo Kromeich, Vicki Frankens and husband, Markie; eleven grandchildren, twenty-three great grandchildren, four great, great grandchildren and numerous other family members and friends.
Funeral service will be held Friday, January 31, 2014, at 2 pm at the Riley Funeral Home Chapel in Woodville with Brother Mark Martin, Brother Markie Frankens and Brother Johnny Girardo officiating. Burial to follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Chester, Texas. Visitation will be held Thursday from 4 pm until 7 pm at the funeral home
