Obituary of David Carroll Campbell

David Carroll Campbell, 68 of Colmesneil, TX passed away peacefully November 26, 2015. He was born in Houston on December 19, 1946. He was voted Mr. South Houston at his high school in Pasadena. He received a basketball scholarship to San Jacinto College. He was an accomplished musician and studied music at North Texas in Denton. David was a sergeant in the U.S. Army and retired from Carbololy. David was preceded in death by his mother and father, Ruby and Eugene Campbell. Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Judy Lynn Campbell; son, Weston Campbell; daughter-in-law, Mika Campbell; his daughter, Lindsay Smith; son-in-law Jordan Smith; his grandchildren: Bethina and Michelle Campbell, Syd and Zadie Smith; his brother, Bud Campbell; and sister Sherry Smith. Graveside services are scheduled for 11 am on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at Colmesneil City Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Riley Funeral Home of Tyler County.
