Obituary of Sue Johnson

Sue Johnson, former home in Tatum, TX. died on November 20, 2015, in Springfield, MO. She was 97 years old. Sue is survived by her daughters, Sandra (Senn) Johnston of Woodville, TX, and Marilyn (Senn) Wright of Springfield, MO., and preceded in death by sons Don F. Senn of Tatum, TX and Jimmy Ray Senn of Mena, AR. She is survived by 8 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 9 great great grandchildren. Sue was born and christened Zada Ophelia Horn on September 17, 1918 in Caddo Gap, AR, to Martha Ann and James Louis Horn. She had a happy childhood growing up with her siblings in the loving care of their parents. She has 2 surviving sisters, Verna Citty and Bobbie Payne, both living in Texarkana, AR. She was preceded in death by 4 brothers, Jewel, Glen, R.C., and James Horn, and 2 sisters, Zora Louise (Jo) Brown and Lola Mae Cook. She married Francis Senn and they spent years together in southern Arkansas, then in Beaumont and Bevel Oaks, TX. She married a second time to Bill Johnson and they spent several years in Vidor, TX. Both spouses have preceded her in death. Some years later she moved to Tatum, TX, to be close to family. She lived in Tatum about 20 years, enjoying her family and many friends, especially her church family at Lakeview Baptist Church, Longview, TX. In the spring of 2015 she moved to Springfield, MO., where her daughter Marilyn Wright, and her son- in-law, Carl Wright, could attend to her needs. Sue was a Christian, with faith in God and Jesus as her savior. She is now peaceful in her heavenly home. Visitation will be 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, Monday, November 23, 2015 and funeral is scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 24, 2013, at Riley Funeral Home, 913 US-190, Woodville, Texas 75979 (409-283-8131). Pastor Ted Houston White of Lakeview Baptist Church will be officiating the services. Interment will be at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery, Tyler County, Texas.
