Obituary of Jay Vandiver Tackett
Jay Vandiver Tackett, 67, of Willis passed away September 22, 2015.
Born January 24, 1948 in Fulton, Missouri to John and Mary Van Winkle Tackett, he lived in Willis for many years. He was a retired diesel mechanic. Jay had a passion for hunting and fishing which he enjoyed greatly. He was a loving man who had a heart of gold.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Melissa Tackett.
Jay is survived by his spouse, Mona Lamb; son, John Tackett and wife, Sara of South Dakota; daughters, Sheree Boykin of Willis and Lisa Oswald; grandchildren, Melissa Tackett, Brittany Weeks and Joshua Weeks; great grandchild, Payton Martin; numerous other family members and friends.
Grave side service will be held Saturday, September 26, 2015, at 12 noon at the Camp Ground Cemetery in Woodville with Sister Jenna Harris officiating.
