Obituary of Jim Allen Jenkins

Jim Allen Jenkins was born on June 6, 1977. He was the youngest of eight children born to Boyd “Cobb” and Jean Jenkins. He lived all of his life in Spurger and the surrounding areas and was well known in the community for his comical personality. There isn’t a person out there that Jim met that he didn’t make smile. Jim had a way of brightening up everyone’s day when he entered a room and was always the life of the party. As well as being comical he was a friend to all; Jim was a kind soul that would help anyone at any time. He also enjoyed being at the river fishing or in the woods hunting and has left us all with unforgettable memories. Jim was loved by many and will live on in the hearts of us all. Jim was preceded in death by his father and mother and his brother, Christopher. He is survived by his four brothers, Thomas Jenkins and wife Janet of Spurger, Michael Jenkins and wife Janice of Dam B, Ricky Jenkins and wife Cindy Dam B, Jody Jenkins and wife Tammy of Brookeland; two sisters Rebecca Ward and husband Robert of Jasper, Amanda Granger and husband Michael of Huntington as well as numerous nieces and nephews. There will be a Memorial Service for Jim at the Riley Funeral Home Chapel in Woodville on Thursday, September 24 from 6-8 pm.
