Obituary of Robert Bill Riley

Robert Bill Riley entered into rest on August 19, 2015 in Long Beach, California. He was born June 21, 1936 in Orange, Texas. If we had to pick one song to describe Bill Riley’s life, it would be “I Did It My Way!” He will live on in the hearts and minds of his family, friends, and community. Joie de vivre (joy of living) – This was Bill. From his forties through his sixties, he would work six months out of the year and relax for the other six months. He served in the Korean War with the Marines, and worked as a contract employee in places like Iran, Germany and Japan. His hobbies included sailing, hiking, motorcycle riding, and he really loved his morning newspaper and eating at Denny’s. Graveside services were held at Colmesneil Cemetery on September 12, 2015 at 11 am with Brother JD Hughes officiating. Services were under the direction of Riley Funeral Home of Tyler County.
