Obituary of Luther Moye

Luther Moye died August 9 at his home in Warren. Luther was a native of Warren, but lived several years in Groves, where he worked at Gulf Oil. He retired after 33 years and returned to live in Warren. He was born October 2, 1919 to William Luther Moye and Elizabeth Corine Laird. He was a WWII Veteran, serving in the Army Air Corp in India 3 years. Luther is preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Lucy Vivian Moye, and two sisters Juanita Jackson and Elnora Hildeband. He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Luther served on Warren School Board 6 years and was a life member of VFW Post 2033 serving as commander of the post 2 years. He was a member 74 years of the Masonic Lodge of Texas and served as District Deputy Grand Marshall #121 in 1980. Visitation at Riley Funeral Home from 5-8 pm on Tuesday, August 11. Funeral services at the funeral home on Wednesday, August 12 at 10 am followed by interment at Fellowship Cemetery in Warren.
