Obituary of Patsy J. Dickens

Patsy J. Dickens, 75, of Midway Community passed away July 23, 2015. Born July 24, 1939 in Woodville, Texas to the late Leroy and Lela Gurley Brown, she lived in Tyler County and Polk County all of her life. She was retired from the Tyler County Hospital and the Indian Reservation as an Alternate Resource Coordinator. She was a member the Shady Grove Church in Woodville. Her faith in God was shown each day to the many people she come in contact with even until the end. She loved her family dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Charles Dickens. She leaves to cherish her memory, her son and daughter-in-law, Kent and Stephanie Dickens of Conroe; the love of her life, her granddaughter, Hayesleigh Dickens of Conroe; brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Gaye Brown of Woodville; sister, Mary Tucker of Jasper; and numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. Funeral service will be held Saturday, July 25, 2015, at 10 am at the Riley Funeral Home Chapel with Sister Hazel Rumby officiating. Burial will follow at the Midway Cemetery in Polk County. Visitation will be held Friday from 6 pm until 8 pm at the funeral home.
