Obituary of James Marvin Carter

James Marvin Carter, 63, of Rockland, TX passed away July 16, 2015 at his home. He was born in Silsbee on October 18, 1951 to Marvin Leo and Thelma Fuqua Carter. A native of Hardin County, he lived in Rye for twenty years before moving to Rockland a year ago. He will be missed by all who loved him. James is survived by his brothers Gene Carter and wife Linda, Bill Carter and wife Linda, Roy Carter, Marvin Ray Carter, Larry Carter and wife Carolyn; sisters Brenda Mitcham and husband John, Linda Sullivan and husband Bobby, and Shirley Shrader. Visitation will be held at Rockland Baptist Church from 7-9 pm on Tuesday, July 21. Services will be held at 10 am on Wednesday, July 22 at Rockland Baptist Church in Rockland with Brother Tommy Rhodes officiating. Burial will follow at Rockland Cemetery.
