Obituary of Joseph Lee Cannatella
Joseph Lee Cannatella 88 of Ivanhoe passed away May 23, 2015.
Born May 23, 1927 in Waco, Texas, he lived in Woodville for many years. He was retired from Chevron Oil Company as a pipeline gauger. Joseph was a member of the Masonic Lodge and Shriners where he gave generous of his time. He joined the Ivanhoe Fire Department and served as their Fire Chief for many years. He was a Navy Veteran.
Joseph is preceded in death by his mother, Rose Lee "Walker"; Huntsinger step father, S. D. Huntsinger; and a brother, Andrew Jerome Cannatella.
He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Alice Cannatella; son, Charles Ray Cannatella of Sulphur, LA; daughter, Joy Cannatella Crane of Jasper; three grandchildren, Ashlee Crane and Allison Crane both of Jasper and Bryan Cannatella of Sulphur, LA; great grandchildren, Destin Savoy and Curt Cannatella both of Sulphur, LA; and numerous other family members and friends.
Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, May 27, 2015, at 10 am at the Mt. Pisgah Cemetery in Woodville with Brother Steve Baker officiating. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening at the funeral home from 5-7 PM
