Obituary of Harvey Thomas Simons

Harvey Thomas Simons, Sr., 66, of Warren passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on April 20, 2015. Born July 8, 1948 in New Willard, Texas to the late Harvey T. Simons, Sr. and Georgia G. Mercer Crosby, he lived in Warren for many years. He was a commercial fisherman who loved the outdoors. He was a loving and devoted family man. He is preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Jack Howard Simons, and a sister, Margie Judalet. Harvey is survived by his sons, Daniel W. Simons of Colmesneil, Harvey T. Simons, Jr. of Point Blank, Shelton Clayton Simons of DeQuincy, LA, Stanley Simons and wife, Christene of Cypress and Christopher A. Simons of Beaumont; daughter, Jeannie Bennett and husband, Jerry of Warren, AR; brother, Horace A. Simons of Warren; sisters, Jimmie Jones of Henderson, Carlyn Burnett of Wells and Arlene Melvine of Tennessee; ex-wife, Lela Gore of Warren; twenty-eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. A grave side service will be held Thursday, April 23, 2015, at 10 am at the Colmesneil City Cemetery in Colmesneil with Brother Bubba Sheffield officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Daniel Simons, Brian McGuire, Harvey T. Simons, Jr., Stanley Simons, Bobby Judalet, Emekia Montgomery
