Obituary of Malcolm Howard Worrell
Malcolm Howard Worrell, 85 of Hillister passed away Wednesday February 11, 2015 at his home. Memorial graveside services are scheduled for Saturday February 14, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at the Ebenezer Cemetery in Lexington, MS.
Malcolm was born in Tchula MS to Frederick C. and JoAnna “Rogers” Worrell. They have preceded him in death as well as 3 sisters and 1 brother.
He is survived by his wife Jane Becker Worrell of the family home, 2 daughters; Julie Worrell and Jodie Myrick both of Laurel, MS. 2 sons; Bud Worrell of Truckee, CA. Dr. Mike Worrell of Colorado Springs, CO. a step daughter Ranee Weaver of Beaumont, TX. 2 sisters; Lola Emmaline Ware of Jackson, MS. Miriam “Sissie” Vance of Laurel, MS. 7 Grandchildren; 3 Great Grandchildren 1 step Granddaughter
Malcolm served his country in the US Air Force. Earned his mechanical engineering degree from Mississippi State University. He was a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, “ASME” receiving the 50 year membership award. Retired from Mobil Oil Company after 38 years of service.
Malcolm was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He volunteered as an Explorer post leader with the Boy Scouts of America in Beaumont.
