Obituary of Melvin Darwin Winkle

Melvin Darwin Winkle, 64, of Spurger passed away January 31, 2015. Born April 26, 1950 in Spurger, Texas to Walter and Mary Hooks Winkle, he lived in Spurger all of his life. He was a retired carpenter. Melvin was a loving father, grandfather, brother and friend to all who knew and loved him. Melvin is survived by his son, Roy Winkle and wife, Brittany of Spurger; brother, Larry Winkle and wife, Cari of Spurger; grandchildren, Shane, Aryan and Khloi; and numerous other family members and friends. A grave side service will be held Thursday, February 5, 2015, at 2 pm at the William-Hart Cemetery in Kountze with Brother Steve Waldrep officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 6 pm until 8 pm at the funeral home.
