Obituary of Jo Evelyn Phillips

Jo Evelyn Phillips, of Nederland formerly of Warren passed away peacefully unto the Lord on January 8, 2014 to reunite with her husband, Judson Wendell Phillips, who preceded her in death on December 27, 2013. Jo Evelyn Phillips, of Nederland formerly of Warren passed away peacefully unto the Lord on January 8, 2014 to reunite with her husband, Judson Wendell Phillips, who preceded her in death on December 27, 2013. Born in Sabine, Texas to William Carlton and Elsie Ealer Bumstead Adamson, she lived in Nederland for many years before retiring with her husband to Warren in 1991. She and her husband moved back to Nederland to be closer to family. A member of the First Baptist Church in Warren they loved and served the Lord with the many friends they had in the church. She is survived by daughters Donna Sanders of Nederland, Beverly Edmundson and husband, Jerry of Sugar Land; five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; sister Juanita Brown, along with numerous other family members and friends. Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2014 at 9:00 am at the Riley Funeral Home Chapel followed by funeral services at 10:00 am with Brother Troy Richardson and Brother Ken Cauthen officiating. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm at the Memory Gardens Cemetery in Nederland, Texas. Services are under the direction of Riley Funeral Home in Woodville, Texas.
