Obituary of Charles Edward Munselle, Sr.
Charles Edward Munselle, of Lumberton, passed away at the age of 90 on January 19, 2015 at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont. He was born on September 3, 1924 to Charles William Munselle and Angela Corrine Camp Munselle in San Antonio, Texas. He served in the Navy on the USS Canberra and is a Veteran of World War II. After his military service, he went to work at the Kansas City Southern Railroad where he retired in 1986.
He is survived by his children; Barbara Carlin, David Munselle, Patricia Leblanc, Earl Munselle, Sharon Shackelford, Cathy Munselle, Ginger Srader, Sharon Lopez, Arthur Brodnax, and Charles Munselle Jr; brothers, Thomas Munselle and Joe Allen Munselle, 21 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Annie Sue Collins Brodnax Munselle; son, Michael Munselle, granddaughter, Elizabeth Roberts Bates; and siblings, John Munselle, Robert Munselle, Earl Kelly, Elizabeth Holmes, Joyce Fowler, and Virginia Mason.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, January 23, 2015 from 6-8 pm at Riley Funeral Home.
Services will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at 11:00 am at Riley Funeral Home Chapel followed by burial at Colmesneil City Cemetery with Military honors.
