Obituary of James Roy Jackson
James Roy “Red” Jackson, 78, of Ivanhoe passed away January 14, 2015 at his home. He was born in Wells, Texas on January 13, 1937 to Leroy and Una Peal Minter Jackson . Red married Wilda Ann Duos and they raised four children. He was a butcher by trade; and he was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who will be missed by all who loved him.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife Wilda Jackson; daughters Theresa Broom and Connie Darby ; sons John Jackson and James Allen Jackson; grandchildren Kenneth Broom, Virginia Hollyfield, Tyson Hollyfield, Jason Hollyfield, Victoria Carr, Kevin Jackson, Coleman Jackson, Erin Hanks, Bree Jackson, Jami Jackson, Kyle Jackson, Mica Sherril, Maddison Helm, Katelynn Helm, and Dustin Helm; and seventeen great-grandchildren.
Services are scheduled for Saturday, January 17, 2015 at 10:00 am Riley Funeral Home Chapel in Woodville, Texas with Brother David Clark officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery in Woodville. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday, January 16, 2015 from 5:00 – 8:00 pm.
