Obituary of Harold Clinton Sturrock, Sr.

Harold Clinton Sturrock Sr. 71 of Chester passed away January 2, 2015. Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Monday January 5, 2015 at Riley Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Chester. Brother Larry Trest, assisted by Brother Lavoy Eason and Brother Milton Powers will officiate. Visitation will be Sunday January 4, 2015 from 5-8 P.M. at Riley Funeral Home. Harold was born April 3, 1943 to James Clinton “Jim” and Annie Lee Faircloth Sturrock. Both parents have preceded him in death as well as two grandsons Jake and Luke Wilkins. Harold married Jo Carolyn Barnes January 12, 1968 and they were married for 47 years. She survives him at the family home in Chester. Other survivors include three sons: Clint Sturrock and wife Kim of Chester, their children Wade Dusty, and Amber; James Sturrock and wife Yolanda of Colmesneil, their children Garret, Jason, Lane and Lil; Billy Jack Sturrock and wife Casey of Chester, their children Josey and Waylon; daughter: JoAnn Wilkins and husband Jamey of Colmesneil, their children Gabe and Creed; brother Gerald Sturrock and wife Diane of Buna; sister; Barbara House and husband Thornton of Kingwood. Harold was a retired log truck driver for Martin Spurlock Trucking. Pallbearers will be Art Barns, Charles Spurlock, Martin Spurlock, Milton Powers, Russell Shaw, Lavoy Eason, Lynn Shane, D.B. Dean. Honorary pallbearers are Floyd Petri and Thornton House. Services under the direction of Riley Funeral Home, Woodville, TX
